JERSEY MILITIA
OTHER INFORMATION In this section are bits & pieces of information that do not fit neatly in any other section Le Couteur's 'Garter Star' design was introduced with the new clothing issue in 1832. This design certainly appears on a officer's silver tunic buttons but has not been seen as an other ranks pattern The following was found in the Army Clothing Department's Register of Changes: - "2nd May 1859: "The buttons worn by the Jersey Militia Regiments are to be stamped with the number of the Respective Regiments."
