Dorgan

The family tree on this page gives an indication of the roots of part of the Dorgan family now living in Jersey in the Channel Islands, close to the French coast.

Three brothers and their two sisters came to the island, some of them pre-WW2 to work in the potato fields.  Rosie married in Jersey and stayed with her husband, Jack de Guelle, during the German occupation.

The link to Maurice Dorgan and Biddy Donovan is proved through David's baptism researched at the National Library of Ireland in Dublin as are his elder siblings.  Information on siblings born after him was kindly provided by Mallow Heritage Centre.  Mallow Heritage Centre also produced one possibility regarding Maurice's baptism which has been incorporated within the tree, however it must be stressed this is given only as a possibility, no others being apparent, and is not proved beyond doubt.

The tree does not include complete details of living people other than Mary Kate BARRY with her permission.
